How to run digital signage on any screen
One of the best things about modern cloud signage is that you don't need special hardware. If a device can open a web browser, it can be a digital signage player. Here's how to set it up on the most common platforms.
The universal method: a browser
Every DigitalWall screen runs the same browser-based player. Open app.digitalwall.in/player/ on the device, and it shows a 6-character pairing code. In your console, add a screen and enter that code — it's claimed instantly. Point a campaign at it and content plays, updating in real time. That's the whole flow, and it's identical on every platform below.
Android & Android TV
Install the native DigitalWall player APK for a lean, kiosk-friendly app, or simply open the player URL in Chrome. Android boxes are a popular, inexpensive way to power a screen.
Amazon Fire TV / Fire Stick
Fire OS is based on Android, so the same APK works. Sideload it with the "Downloader" app or adb install, launch, and pair. A Fire Stick is one of the cheapest ways to turn a TV into a signage screen.
Windows
Download the Windows kiosk launcher. It opens the player full-screen in Chrome or Edge. Drop a shortcut to it in your Startup folder and the PC boots straight into signage.
Linux
Grab the Linux kiosk script. It launches Chromium in kiosk mode and keeps the display awake. Add it to your desktop's autostart to run on boot.
Raspberry Pi
A Raspberry Pi is a fantastic, low-cost signage player. Use our Raspberry Pi setup guide and kiosk script to boot straight into a full-screen player.
Tips for reliable screens
- Disable screen blanking / sleep so the display stays on.
- Set the player to launch on boot so a power cut recovers automatically.
- The player caches the last content, so brief network drops won't blank the screen.
